ACS Group, a premier provider of IT Consulting, Engineering Consulting, Healthcare, Talent, and Workforce Management Solutions to Fortune 1000 companies globally, has awarded Southwest Dekalb High School Graduate, Aniya Aiken, with a $10,000 educational scholarship.

This scholarship represents ACS Group’s commitment to providing educational opportunities to young women in the Atlanta metro area. Through a partnership with the Atlanta YWCA, ACS Group has been a primary supporter of the Teen Girls in Technology program (TGI Tech) since 2006.

TGI Tech is the YWCA of Greater Atlanta’s initiative to empower girls to explore career opportunities in science, technology, engineering, arts/design, and math (STEAM). These types of programs are designed to help overcome barriers and combat stereotypes in these fields through afterschool instruction, college prep workshops, and field trip experiences. TGI Tech provides girls with innovative learning opportunities while helping them to develop critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.

Aiken, part of the program since 6th grade, has achieved outstanding academic success throughout her high school career while demonstrating a strong dedication and commitment to her community, will be pursuing a degree in Kinesiology at Delaware State University.

"Aniya is an extremely focused and determined student who is ready to reach out beyond her boundaries and become successful in her journey to achieve her goals. ACS is proud to support her and her vision," said Nita Sardana, VP of Community Outreach and Corporate Giving at ACS Group.

As a provider of leading-edge information technology solutions, ACS Group understands how critical it is to help foster careers in STEAM for young women today and to help increase the number and diversity of skilled professionals in the workforce.

ACS Group is tremendously proud of the hard work, dedication, and commitment that Aniya has given her education thus far and looks forward to all that she will accomplish in the future. By providing scholarships to the youth of the communities that ACS calls home, they are investing in the future success of these communities and the people, employees, and children that live there.

ACS Group is proud to offer this scholarship opportunity and is dedicated to continuing support for the pursuit of higher education.
