Press Release

ACS Group to Participate in the ACC Georgia’s Summer Internship Program

ATLANTA, GEORGIA

ACS Group’s legal department has been selected as one of just a few legal departments to participate in the Association of Corporate Counsel (ACC) Georgia’s 2017 Lori Ann Haydu Summer Internship Program. University of Georgia law student, Kathryn Hagerman, will begin working at ACS Group at the end of May.

The ACC Georgia chapter awarded four fully-paid summer internships to rising second year law students who come from diverse and/or challenging backgrounds to seek success in the legal profession. These students will have the opportunity to work with attorneys in corporate legal departments in the Metropolitan Atlanta area over the summer.

“Over the past several years, I’ve personally witnessed how the ACC’s summer internship program helps a diverse group of law school students, many of whom have had to overcome challenges in their lives, grow into excellent, successful attorneys. At ACS Group, we’re all encouraged to give back to the communities in which we live and work, so when our legal team had the opportunity to participate in this program, I immediately jumped at the chance. We can’t wait for Kathryn to come on board,” says Rich Escoffery, General Counsel at ACS Group.

The program is open to minority or diverse law students from law schools in Georgia who have just completed their first year of law school and who have overcome obstacles in their lives.
